Perpall Speaking Competition

The Perpall awards are $1000 first prize; $600, second; and $400, third. The competition is a three-round event. The best SURF Seminar Day presenters, as evaluated by the session chair and a judge (faculty, senior graduate student, or postdoctoral scholar) from the discipline, advance to a semifinal round held in November. Six to eight finalists advance to a final round held in January. The Perpall competition is open to Caltech students only.
